Osteoporosis

What is Osteoporosis?

Osteoporosis is a condition where bones become thinner, weaker, and more likely to fracture. It often progresses without many symptoms, and the first-time people become aware of the condition is when a bone breaks. The most common breaks are in the wrist, pelvis, and spine. Osteoporosis can occur naturally with age, but certain factors can increase your risk. Those factors include nutritional deficiencies, low physical activity, and family history. Even though it’s hard to spot, there are still some symptoms to look out for.

Symptoms

  • Loss of height
  • Hunched over posture
  • Sudden back pain
