EMG (electromyography) and nerve conduction testing is back
We’re excited to announce that EMG (electromyography) and nerve conduction testing is once again available at Virginia iSpine Physicians. With the addition of Douglas Wayne, MD, we’re able to bring this important diagnostic service back into our office—enhancing convenience, continuity of care, and diagnostic efficiency for our patients.
Dr. Wayne is a board-certified physiatrist specializing in electrodiagnostic medicine, with more than 40 years of experience in EMG testing and spine care. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Physiology from Michigan State University and his medical degree from Wayne State University, followed by residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He also proudly served in the Michigan Army National Guard during medical school and in the U.S. Army Reserve during residency and early practice.
Having EMG testing available on-site allows our providers to better evaluate nerve and muscle conditions associated with pain, numbness, tingling, and weakness—leading to faster insights and more coordinated treatment planning. Dr. Wayne’s depth of expertise strengthens our ability to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered spine and nerve care under one roof.
We’re proud to welcome Dr. Wayne and to expand our diagnostic capabilities for the benefit of our patients.
