Medical Billing Supervisor

We are an expanding medical practice looking for the RIGHT people to join our team!

We are a procedural based medical practice looking for a ENTHUSIASTIC Medical Billing Manager to lead and plan the billing operations of our practice, enforce and streamline billing policies and procedures, and remain up to date with changes in industry billing patterns and coding requirements. Candidates must have experience in the medical claims billing process, denial correction as well as appeal procedures. Candidates must be GO-GETTERS and be excited about growing with our practice as well as within their career. Individuals applying for this position must have strong communication and customer service skills while enjoying completing their work with patients and co-workers.

The job duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Generating corrected claims and appeals for denied claims, followed by regular follow-up on those denials, retractions, etc.
  • Managing monthly billing reports such as the AR Report, Denial Report, Patient Balance Reports, Collections Reports, and reports summarizing claim issues and trends
  • Coordinating the patient collections process, working closely with our Collection Agency Representative and other members of our billing team
  • Providing guidance and feedback to reduce denials and number of days in AR
  • Assisting patients with escalated billing questions and concerns
  • Providing information and education to staff to improve billing and authorization processes and reduce denials
  • Experience with reviewing insurance contracts, preparing contract negotiation letters, and comparing against other insurance contracts is a plus
  • Remaining up to date on new coding initiatives and regulations while advising leadership on coding changes that would optimize the practice’s reimbursement
  • Reviewing, analyzing and reporting to management on quarterly reimbursement analysis reports for each carrier
  • Verifying daily deposits and batches
  • Implementing MIPS/MACRA quality measures and reviewing new measures each year

Only applicants with a minimum of 3 years of MEDICAL billing experience will be considered for this position.

Candidates must be working on obtaining or currently hold a CPC license.

This position is not a remote working position.

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
